• Family Background: Hailing from a middle class family, Shivam’s father, Shri RN Singh, is a businessman, while his mother, Smt. Babita Singh, is a homemaker. Their unwavering support and values played a pivotal role in shaping his disciplined and determined approach.

• Educational Background: Shivam;s academic journey reflects his gradual rise- 72.8% in 10th and 12th from St. Peter’s School, Rae Bareili. He pursued B.Tech (82.9%) in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and later M.Tech (8.59 CGPA) from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, proving that consistent effort trumps early setbacks.

• Previous work Experience: Before cracking UPSC, Shivam served as a Deputy Collector in Gorakhpur (U.P.) since 2021. This role not only provided administrative exposure but also honed his decision making skills, which proved invaluable in his UPSC journey.
