The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 Notification for 933 vacancies across prestigious Group A and Group B services.
The online application process has started from 4th February 2026, and the last date to apply is 24th February 2026 (6:00 PM).
This nationwide recruitment aims to select candidates for services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, and several other central services.

Eligibility Criteria – UPSC CSE 2026
1. Nationality
- For IAS, IPS, IFS – Must be a Citizen of India.
- For other services – Indian citizen / subject of Nepal / Bhutan / Tibetan refugee (before 1 Jan 1962) / Person of Indian Origin from specified countries.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 32 years (as on 1st August 2026)
3. Age Relaxation
- OBC – 3 years
- SC/ST – 5 years
- PwBD – 10 years
4. Number of Attempts
- General – 6
- OBC – 9
- SC/ST – Unlimited
- PwBD – 9
5. Educational Qualification
Graduate degree from a recognised university or equivalent qualification under UGC Act, 1956.
UPSC CSE 2026 Selection Process
The examination is conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective)
- Main Examination (Written)
- Personality Test / Interview – 275 Marks
