The UPSC IAS Civil Services Exam 2023 Notification has been released. The prelims exam will be held on 28th May 2023. The number of vacancies to be filled through the 2023 exam has increased to 1105, compared to, 1011 in the 2022 examination. The last Date for Receipt of Applications will be 21st Feb 2023 – 6:00pm. How to Apply for the UPSC Civil Services 2023 examination?
Candidates must apply online on UPSC’s official website, upsconline.nic.in as and when the links are activated. Candidates who have registered on the One-time registration (OTR) platform can use their account for applying for this exam. Those, who have not registered on OTR, need to register first, then only they will be able to apply for the vacancies.
Note: Changes in the information provided on OTR by the candidate, can be changed only once in a lifetime. Therefore, candidates must be very careful while submitting their details.
Last date for the Receipt of Applications
The last date for filling application is 21st February, 2023 till 6:00 PM. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card 3 weeks before the commencement of the examination.
Age Limits
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August 2023. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1991 and not later than 1st August 2002.
The age limits relaxation has been provided to certain categories, like OBCs, SC/ST, etc. candidates.
Minimum Educational Qualification
A candidate must hold a Graduate degree from any of the Universities incorporated by
- an Act of the central or State Legislature in India or
- other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or
- declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
or possess an equivalent qualification.
