Last candidate of the day. Conversation with Chairperson sir and M1 took place in English and Rest Conversation were in Hindi.


Chairman

Read out loud the hobby section related to vocals, Acoutic guitar and Hindustani classical vocals diploma and mentioned very nice. Although they didn’t ask any questions from music or entry 7 per se.

  1. Which place do you belong to and where is it located?
  2. Kumaon Vs Garhwal, basic difference?
  3. Do these regions have different langueges as well?
  4. How it is different from Hindi?
  5. Do you understand Garhwali? (I am Kumaoni hence the question)

  1. What is the unique features of JNV?
  2. Ecommerce  has issues related to deep discounting, how does it affect the small sellers?
  3. Do we have any provisions to deal with it?
  4. Geetnajali Shree won booker prize, have you read this novel? Do you know the story?
  5. NITIE recently turned into IIM Mumbai. What’s NITIE stands for?

  5. – Who was the main person and leader involed in Chipko movement?
  6. – How Chipko movement helped in forming legislation and awareness related to Environment? Can you tell few changes?
  7. – Name the person or group who fight against construction of dams in Uttarakhand?
  8. – Tell me technologies that can help in fighting the environmental related concerns? (Ma’am was looking for specific technology over genric one)
  9. – What all technology can be used to preserve the forest? (Discussion on Remote sensing and GIS)

Chairperson: Your Interview is over.

Assessment of the board/your performance: Board was cordial and trying to give hints for the question which I didn’t know. I felt questions were less opinion based and were more factual and application based (work ex and technology) in nature. Overall PI experience was good and it was decent interaction.

Mocks: Samkalp setup was closest to that of Upsc. Chahal, Vajiram panel mock, and one one session with PS Ravindran Sir, Ayush Sir, Mohan Sir has helped in streamlining the PI Prep.
