- Birth and Domicile: Vidyanshu Shekhar Jha was brought up in Jhansi, Jharkhand. Growing up in this vibrant city, he developed a strong connection to his roots while nurturing dreams of serving the nation through civil services.
- Family background: Hailing from a middle-class family, Vidyanshu was raised with strong values of hard work and perseverance. His father, Shri. Sushil Jha is a businessman, and his mother, Smt. Vidya Jha is a homemaker. Their unwavering support played a crucial role in his UPSC journey.
- Educational Background: Vidyanshu was an academically bright student throughout his schooling and college years. He scored 9.4 CGPA in his 10th class from DAV Public School, Ranchi. In his 12th class, he secured 88% in the science stream from the same school. He graduated from Vellore Institute of Technology with a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering with an impressive score of 9.03 CGPA.
