News: The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) hosted the fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) 2025 from 25th to 28th September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

  • World Food India (WFI) is a gateway to the Indian food economy and an opportunity to showcase, connect, and collaborate.
  • Organized by: Ministry of Food Processing Industries
  • WFI is the largest gathering of investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, policy makers, and organizations from the global food ecosystem.
  • Aim: To provides opportunities for both investment and trade in the food processing sector for leading Indian and international companies.
  • WFI 2025 revolved around five key pillars:
    • Sustainability and Net Zero Food Processing
    • India as a Global Food Processing Hub
    • Frontiers in Food Processing, Products and Packaging Technologies
    • Food for Nutrition, Health and Wellness
    • Livestock & Marine Products Accelerating the Indian Rural Economy
  • Some of the features of event
    • Participation: The global food event drew participation from over 21 countries, 21 Indian States/UTs, 10 Central Ministries, and 5 allied government bodies.
    • Partner Countries: New Zealand and Saudi Arabia
    • Focus Countries: Japan, Russia, UAE, and Vietnam
    • Participation Scale: 1,700+ exhibitors, 500+ international buyers, and delegates from over 100 nations
    • 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit (FSSAI): Aimed at promoting the harmonisation of international food safety standards.
    • Knowledge Exchange: More than 45 sessions, including thematic discussions, state- and country-focused conferences, and CXO roundtables featuring over 100 global agri-food leaders
    • 24th India International Seafood Show (SEAI): Showcasing India’s growing seafood export potential.
    • Reverse Buyer–Seller Meet (APEDA): Bringing together over 1,000 buyers to strengthen global trade linkages.
    • Special Exhibitions: Featuring international, state, and ministry pavilions along with dedicated spaces such as the Pet Food Pavilion, Technology Pavilion, and the MoFPI Start-up Innovation Pavilion.
