1. Birth and Domicile State: Aditya Vikram Aggarwal hails from Jhajjar, Haryana, a region famous for agriculture and athletes. His journey from a small town boy to a top ranking civil servant is truly motivational. 

2. Family background: Born into a middle class family, Aditya’s father, Shri Ramawatar Aggarwal, works as a Manager in SCM, while his mother Smt. Madhu Aggarwal is a homemaker. Their unwavering support and values of hard work shaped his disciplined approach to life. 

3. Educational background:  Aditya has been consistent in showing his stellar academic track record at very stage. In his class 10th he scored 9.8 CGPA from SR Century School, CBSE in 2012. In his class 12th he scored 96.8% (PCM) from the same school and became Jhajjar district topper in 2014. He has completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering with 8.7 CGPA from MNNIT Allahabad in 2018. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from IGNOU scoring 74.25% in 2024. 

4. Previous Work Experience: Before starting his UPSC CSE journey Aditya has worked as a senior Manager at Tata Motors Limited, Pantnagar, showcasing his leadership and technical skills in the corporate world. 

5. UPSC preparation journey: Aditya’s path to success is marked by perseverance and patience. He kept consistent pushing himself through 4 hard knocks of failure before reaching the glory of success in his 5th attempt finally securing AIR 9. 

6. Medium of Exam:  He had decided on taking ENGLISH to be his medium of examination across his all 5 attempts. 

7. No. of UPSC CSE Attempts: Total 5 attempts which ultimately resulted into dream of securing a single digit rank. 

8. Optional Subject: Aditya took Anthropology as his optional subject, this subject interested him more and he ultimately pursued Masters degree in the same from IGNOU in 2024. 

9. Interest and Hobbies: Aditya pursues cooking as his hobby which helps him in keeping fresh and lively in his long and challenging preparation phase helping him to refresh time to time and stay focused on his preparation.
