Importance of analyzing UPSC IAS Prelims Questions Papers or Mains Question paper

Many aspirants, who are not taking the exam this year, might be in doubt about – why should they bother analysing the question paper, when the trends are changing every year? The answer is they must. The analysis of the previous year’s question paper should be the priority of aspirants planning to appear next year or in the future. It might not be helpful in predicting the questions, but it will be definitely helpful in the focus areas of the questions, i.e. what should they read in a topic or current affairs that matches the expectations of an exam. An aspirant doing this will be definitely in an advantageous position compared to the ones trying to read and understand everything.
