About Global Business Climate Survey 2026
- The Global Business Climate Survey presents Swedish companies’ views on doing business across 41 global markets.
- Produced by: It is jointly produced by Business Sweden, Swedish Chambers of Commerce (SCI), and Sweden’s embassies and consulates.
- Origin: The survey was first conducted in 2020.
- Aim: It compares economic performance, outlook, and operating conditions and identifies challenges and opportunities in key Swedish export markets.
- Methodology: More than 2,250 C-level representatives of Swedish companies answered 18 standard questions about the business climate in their main markets.
- The responses were weighted by region.
- Key Highlights:
- Regional outlook: Asia-Pacific (APAC) remains the most optimistic region, while the Middle East and Africa show more cautious sentiment.
- India’s business climate: India ranks first in business climate among the surveyed markets.

- India’s investment position: India is among the top investment markets in APAC, along with the Philippines.
