Madhav Aggarwal’s Inspiring UPSC CSE Journey: From State-Level Hockey Player to IAS Topper (Rank 16)
Madhav Aggarwal’s success in the UPSC Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2024, securing All India Rank 16, is a testament to perseverance, academic excellence, and well-rounded growth. Born in Gwalior and raised in Indore, Madhav’s journey reflects discipline and dedication. A stellar student throughout, he scored 93.6% in class 12 and graduated with a gold medal in B.Com (Accounting and Finance) from Mumbai’s Narsee Monjee College, where he also served as Treasurer of the Student Council.
During preparation, he worked as a Manager at Singhal and Associates, balancing preparation and learning life skills from his work experience. Despite facing setbacks in his first four attempts, his relentless focus on his optional subject- Commerce and Accountancy- and consistent syllabus revision paid off in his fifth attempt.
Beyond academics, Madhav’s holistic personality shone through.
