News: OpenAI has released GPT-6 Astra, claiming major gains in computer use, coding, long-running tasks and cybersecurity.
About OpenAI’s New Astra Model

- OpenAI’s new Astra model is also known as GPT-6 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 6) Astra.
- It is a new frontier artificial intelligence (AI) model released by OpenAI.
- Key Features:
- End-to-end work: Astra is built to perform complete tasks, rather than only answering prompts.
- Autonomous computer use: It can operate computers and browsers, fill online forms, update customer records and organise calendars.
- Research and content creation: It can conduct web research, draft material in documents and emails, analyse scientific data and generate plots.
- Software tasks: It can build websites, install and test software, and troubleshoot problems visible on a screen.
- Large context window: It has a 1.05-million-token context window and supports a maximum output of 128,000 tokens.
- Task continuity: Astra can better retain the original objective of a task even when the user changes instructions midway.
- Cybersecurity: It is the first OpenAI model classified at the critical level for cybersecurity under its Preparedness Framework.
