News: In a breakthrough against drug trafficking, officers of the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) MP and UP Units successfully executed ‘Operation Black Hawk’.
About Operation Black Hawk
- Agency Involved: Under the operation, the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) has busted an interstate drug syndicate by undertaking back to back operations.
- Team involved in Operation: It was carried out by teams from the CBN’s Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh units.
- Activities undertaken:
- The contraband originated from North-Eastern State and were being trafficked for consumption in Uttar Pradesh.
- Arrest: Three key members of an inter-state trafficking network have been arrested.
- Seized Item: The team seized over 18.6 kilograms of raw heroin from smugglers at two different locations near Lucknow (U.P.).
