News: The ongoing talks between India and U.S.A for making Stryker Infantry Combat Vehicles (ICVs) together have gained momentum before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington, D.C.

About Stryker Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV)
- The Stryker Infantry Combat Vehicle (ICV) is an eight-wheeled armored vehicle developed by General Dynamics Land Systems for the U.S. Army.
- It is designed for rapid deployment, troop transport, and combat support, balancing mobility, firepower, and protection.
- It has variants including Infantry Carrier, Mobile Gun System (105mm gun), Anti-Tank (Javelin ATGMs), Reconnaissance, Command, and Medical Evacuation versions.
Key Features
- Mobility: Speed of 100 km/h, off-road capabilities, and central tire inflation system.
- Protection: Double-V hull for mine and IED resistance, with optional reactive armor kits.
- Armament: Equipped with M2 .50 caliber machine gun, Mk 19 grenade launcher, or Javelin ATGMs.
- Capacity: Two crew members and up to nine infantry troops
Advantages:

- It has good armor protection against small arms fire and IEDs.
- It has versatile configurations for different combat roles.
- It can be airlifted by transport aircraft for rapid deployment.
Limitations:
