  • ULPGM-V3 is the third variant of the indigenous drone-launched precision guided missile developed for modern drone warfare operations.
  • Developed by: It has been developed by DRDO’s Research Centre Imarat, Hyderabad along with other DRDO laboratories.
  • Production Agencies:
    • Public Sector Agency: Bharat Dynamics Limited is involved in the development and production of the missile.
    • Private Sector Agency: Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited is participating in missile production.
  • Platform Used: The missile system has been integrated on unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Newspace Research and Technologies, Bengaluru.
  • Key Features:
    • Dual Combat Capability: The missile can operate in both air-to-ground and air-to-air modes against targets including drones and helicopters.
    • Advanced Seeker System: It is fitted with a high-definition dual-channel seeker and advanced multi-sensor guidance system for accurate target tracking.
    • All-Weather Operations: The missile can operate during day and night in plains as well as high-altitude regions.
    • Two-Way Data Link: Operators can update or change targets even after missile launch.
    • Multiple Warhead Options: The missile supports anti-armour, penetration-cum-blast, and pre-fragmentation warheads for different battlefield roles.
    • Precision Strike Capability: It can accurately attack both stationary and moving targets in combat conditions.
