About Prelims CSAT Paper
The CSAT paper is of 200 marks with 80 questions. It is a qualifying paper; candidates need to score a minimum of 33% or 66.66 marks out of 200 to qualify for the mains. The questions in the CSAT paper are aimed at testing the candidates’ skills in comprehension, interpersonal skills, logical reasoning, analytical ability, decision-making, problem-solving, basic numeracy, data interpretation, etc.
Remember that the Prelims is a screening test, and the marks obtained in this stage are not counted for determining the final order of merit. Only those who qualify in the Prelims are eligible to appear for the Main examination.
