ForumIAS Answer Writing Focus Group (AWFG) for Mains 2024 commencing from 24th June 2024. The Entrance Test for the program will be held on 28th April 2024 at 9 AM. To know more about the program visit: https://forumias.com/blog/awfg2024
The AWFG 2024 program will be starting on Monday, 24th June 2024.
The test window will be 2 PM – 4 PM. Students are expected to submit their answer sheets by 4 PM.
However, we will accept copies for grading until 9 PM. Copies submitted between 4 PM – 9 PM will attract a penalty point of 1 (Out of 10).
No copies will be accepted or graded post 9 PM.
The consolidated result for each test will be provided between 48 – 72 Hours.

Dear Friends,
We are excited to announce that ForumIAS will be going ahead with the Answer Writing Focus Group – AWFG 2024 for Mains 2024.
AWFG has assisted hundreds of students in their selection and has assisted them again in improving their rank in the next attempt. It has helped a lot of first-time mains attempters in clearing the hurdle of the mains.
It makes us proud that more than 100 selected students this year have been from the AWFG Program of ForumIAS.
While Mains Guidance Program (MGP) has delivered more than 500 results out of 600+ selections this year, the AWFG remains crucial for several reasons.
One, while the MGP provides exam-like 3-hour duration practice papers, the AWFG provides a 360-degree coverage of the syllabus through answer writing.
Second, while the MGP test papers provide comprehensive evaluation and feedback, the AWFG provides quick graded feedback creating a competitive environment, that is sometimes crucial to our success.
Thirdly, AWFG 2024 will be aligned with our General Studies Advanced Program (GSAP) 2024. It will provide for quick revision of the static syllabus in around 28 – 30 classes. AWFG tests will be planned such that they complement the GSAP study plan. GSAP classes will also include discussions of questions asked in AWFG.
Lastly, some of our students often join MGP for Mains 2024 at this point. While the year-long MGP does provide a complete solution for all topics, the MGP 2024 post-prelims cohorts will try to focus on high-priority areas and are slightly biased in favor of current and dynamic issues that have been in the news. The AWFG on the other hand is biased in favour of static areas of the syllabus.
Plus, the AWFG provides a system of 3 days a week answer writing practice, which we think is crucial to success in the immediately upcoming Mains.
How can I join the AWFG?
Enrolment into the AWFG , like the SFG will have to be earned by you!
So admissions to the group will be through a merit principle based on an open test for all – including selected candidates.
The AWFG Entrance Test – 1 will be held on 28th April 2024 at 9 AM and the answer sheet will have to be submitted in the offline mode immediately, and in the online mode by 11 AM of the same day.
Will the Program be available both online and offline?
Like the preceding years, the AWFG will be available in both online and offline mode.
Will our copies be evaluated?
Copies will not be evaluated like MGP but will be graded. So you will receive a composite score out of 10 in each paper.
How do I register for the Entrance Test?

The registration fee for the program is Rs. 826 inclusive of 18% GST and is non-refundable and non-adjustable.
Once registered, students will be added to the course “AWFG 2024 – Entrance Test-1 | 28th April 2024 | 9 AM”.
What will I get?
You will get a total of 25 Test Papers covering GS paper 1, 2, 3 and 4 – with high quality, crisp answers, gradation, and rank list of all students.
Mentorship support for AWFG is not there unless you are also a part of MGP.
What will be the fees?
The fees for the program will be:
- Non-MGP 2024 Students: Rs. 6300+ GST
- MGP 2024 Students: Rs 4100+ GST

How to write the Entrance Test? – both Online & Offline
Students will be able to access the Entrance Test online by visiting the course – “AWFG Entrance Test – Mains 2024” under “My Courses” tab on academy.forumias.com at 9 AM on Sunday, 28th April.
They will be able to see the Question Paper & QCA Booklet. It is recommended but not mandatory to write the Tests in QCA Booklet.
In case candidates send the answers in an A4 Sheet they must contain the details below :
Note:
- Candidates can write and submit the Test by walking into ANY one of our TEN centers across India (Details/location given in the link below).
- The Timings for the Entrance test shall be 9 AM on 28th April. Students are expected to reach their respective centers atleast 30mins before the test.
- Alternatively, candidates can submit the copies online on the Academy portal by 11 AM.

How we will proceed after that?
Results of Entrance Test-1 will be declared by 6 PM on 1st May 2024. Based on the performance of the Entrance Test, students will be required to pay the course fees. An intimation for the same will be provided along with the declaration of the result.
