News: National Skill Development Corporation and Cultus Education have launched a nationwide cloud and Artificial Intelligence skilling initiative in collaboration with Amazon Web Services.
About Cloud and AI Skilling Initiative
- Cloud and AI Skilling Initiative is a nationwide programme that provides foundational and job-ready cloud and Artificial Intelligence skills to learners across India.
- Launched by: It was launched by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Cultus Education in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Supported by: The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
- Aim: It aims to expand access to high-quality technology training, recognised credentials, and employment opportunities, especially for youth in underserved areas.
- Key Features
- Large-Scale Training: It will provide foundational cloud and Artificial Intelligence literacy to 1.5 lakh learners through Amazon Web Services digital training content.
- Job-Ready Programme: It will provide intensive training to 10,000 participants through the Amazon Web Services re/Start programme.
- Focus Areas: The training will cover cloud infrastructure, networking, security, programming, relational databases, and Artificial Intelligence fundamentals.
- Wider Access: The initiative will cover all States and Union Territories, with a focus on youth in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and underserved communities.
- Online Learning: The programme will be delivered entirely online through Cultus Education.
- National Hackathon: The programme will conclude with a National Hackathon where participants can present their cloud and Artificial Intelligence projects.
