News: Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets has been launched by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance. 

About Common Landing Portal for Unclaimed Financial Assets

  • It is a single unified online platform for citizens to search and trace unclaimed bank deposits, insurance claims, shares and mutual funds across the financial ecosystem.
  • Launched by: It has been launched by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance. 
    • It has been developed in collaboration with the Public Sector Bank Alliance (PSBA), a centralized umbrella organisation jointly promoted by 12 public sector banks in the country.
    • It builds upon the nationwide campaign ‘Your Money, Your Right.’
  • Objective: It is to facilitate easier access to information on unclaimed financial assets.
  • Significance: It will enhance citizen convenience by bringing together access to multiple search facilities on a single platform and strengthen ongoing efforts to reconnect individuals with their rightful financial assets.
    • It is an important step towards building a more accessible, transparent and citizen-centric financial ecosystem.
